Title: Rescue audio from CD using XP, OS X or Linux

I've got an audio CD in which the audio is not recognized.  OS X, for instance, sees it as a blank CDR.  The disc was made on a standalone burner.  I need to find a way to extract the audio from the disc (the master tape no longer exists).  Anyone know of any tools, using the operating systems listed above, to get the audio off?

That can happen if the disc is never "finalized" on the standalone.  If you have access to the standalone (or an identical model), it should be playable on that.  So, you could play it on the SA & make another copy from there.  I don't think it can still be finalized, but maybe...

That's what I thought the problem was.  Don't have access to the SA, though.

Anyone else have ideas?

If I had it in hand I would try linux cdparanoia and cdda2wav in my burner and see if I can rip it again.

If you got big balls, man cdrecord shows this option, which should fixate the current disk.  Or render it hopeless.  ???
-fix   The disk will only be fixated (i.e. a TOC for a CD-Reader will be written).  This may be used, if for some reason the disk
        has  been written but not fixated. This option currently does not work with old TEAC drives (CD-R50S and CD-R55S).
