Hey,
I have a problem with a recording I pulled last night. Opening act came out perfect. Main act has problems all over the place. It sounds like it's skipping, but there are no silence patches in the recording. I also sounds like it's speeding up and slowing down at times.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Are use using the latest rockbox-build?
Could be a defective harddisk...

Battery problems may be there as well.

It may be a problem with the wav header. These units are notorious for having wav header problems if you turn them on before sending them the digital signal. Always make sure that the UA-5 is sending a signal through the digital cable and that the cable is plugged into the iRiver BEFORE you turn the iRiver on. This will ensure that it locks onto the sample rate correctly.
I would open your file in some audio program and save as 16/44.1.
That has worked for me in the past when I had very similar sounding symptoms.
