Title: ISO Anyone who has experience fixing 7 pin>coax cable?
Post by: Brett S. on April 27, 2008, 01:50:31 PM
Hey,
I have a Pro Digital 7pin to coax I/O that I use to transfer my masters from my d7. It seems the output cable does not work, the input still works fine so I can record but can not transfer via the out. Any help would be appreciated!

Unless PD will cover repairs for free, you should just seek out a replacement on the yard sale, since fixing it will be expensive. Usually, the flexing of field use will eventually break wire within the cable. It could have just as easily been the input side that went bad on you. There are oade cables on the YS fairly often, and you should just watch for one. Historically, the short oade cables hold up better than any of the other flavors of modified 7 pin cables, in my own experience.

PD wants $60 to fix.    So now ISO used oade or pro dig active 7 pin in YS.

Just tossed it out there in case anyone on board who makes or mods. cables and had some free time could check it out for me, w/compensation of course!
