Title: quality Mic Cables and looking for battery box for at853 mics
Post by: med9 on May 01, 2008, 08:24:25 PM
Hello all! I am looking to upgrade my mic cables. If anyone could lead me in the proper direction would be mighty helpful. I am also looking for a quality battery box to power a pair of at 853's both cards and hypercards and an xlr female to 1/8 stereo mini cable. I have an aerco mp2 but would like something a bit lighter and smaller for stealthing. I would be running the rig into a marrantz 620

I know about old audio magic cables in which I may do again.

I have heard about these dogsstar cables, or segue cables?

Thanks, Mike

So how are the mics terminated? Mini xlrs or a single male mini plug?

the mic cables end at a xlr male - I would be using with my at 853 both cards and hypers. Thanks, Mike

here's a link to the community cable makers sticky at the top of the Retail Space

I'm sure someone on that list can hook you up, no pun intended :P

Thanks for the help!
well I will llok to use the good old realiable audio magic cables are $199 for a set. I guess a few hundred would do the job for the cables... so I am still searching for both a battery box and mic cables
Thanks, Mike

I will be using my aerco mp2 preamp until I can get a stealth battery box for the at 853's
