Need a new battery for the m248, and wondering what Doug's turnaround time is these days. I sent him an e-mail, but haven't heard back. I'll give him a call tomorrow.
pm heath on this board, he will do it fast and cheap.

heath did mine a few months ago and turned it around very quickly. it was a 148. don't know if he does the 248s. i think tito and innis sent their 248 back to doug within the last year. don't remember how long it was gone.
FYI, I sent it down to Doug. He sent me an email the day it arrived at his shop. I'll post when I get it back.
Checking in ... got the 248 back from Doug with fresh batteries and he apparently had to fix some sort of internal connection that had worked its way loose. About 2.5 weeks there and back.
Thanks, Doug!

LMAO! That's how I feel about my stuff sometimes; I don't get out to record very often because my rig is such a PitA since the MZR700 died. But I'm hoping that Doug's SC PMD660 will help with this soon. Good-bye, back-wrenching backup rig!
just for reference, I'm still willing to do battery changes for the kind foks here at TS.com that make sweet tapes :)
