Title: Is my microphone broken ?
Post by: asmusu2 on May 15, 2008, 12:59:11 PM
Hi,

I have just noticed, that the black cloth in front of the microphone is missing on one of my microphones.

Can that be helped by a wind-screen, or do I have to buy a new microphone instead?

Hope someone can help.

I have attached a picture, to view what I mean.

Best wishes

Steen

That is just a protective piece of fabric to keep dust/dirt from reaching the capsule.  Keeping a windscreen on it will work just fine.

They look like Core Sound mics... I have lots of spare windscreens for capsules here. With adhesive backing if you want one send me your address I will stick a few in an envelope for you.
