Title: looking for help
Post by: saxophoner on May 20, 2008, 10:15:49 PM
looking for some help with how to improve the  setup and sound for this stuff:
2 standing KLH av5001b  speakers
aiwa sx-c1200 speakers x3
aiwa av-d25 reciever

i've got the two KLH straddling the reciever.  aiwa center speaker centered above the two KLHs.  L and R aiwa 5 ft. in each direction.
would elevating any of the speakers add to the sound? L and R sit chest high.  just seeing if there is something more i can do.

the 38% rule is a good rule of thumb, in my opinion(listening position should be at 38% point of the rooms total length). room treatments..check out realtraps.com and ethanwiner.com  treating the environment is very important. nothing else you do will make as dramatic improvement.
