i've never heard anything like this on my recordings, and it's not the typical cellphone interference sound.
fwiw, i usually run mbho > mp2 > tmod r4. in this instance, i was just running mbho > tmod r4. i doubt this has any bearing but though i'd mention it.

It starts in the right channel for two blips

Very, very, very weird :hmmm:

"I get something thats more of a chirp than that lower frequency blip. It might be some kind of RF though".
To be accurate, "Chirp" is RF (in the range 2-30MHz). Sorry, couldn't resist. A very strange sound. Never heard the likes before.

after seeing these responses, i thought of another potentially relevant detail. i was recording in the hills of maryland near the west virginia border, an area not covered by verizon's digital network. my phone was in analog roaming mode.
maybe this accounts for the atypical interference tones?
and thanks for the replies, everyone.

i did text message you at one point during that festival.
not sure if you got that or not....hopefully that wasn't the issue.
i'll listen to the noise when i get to a real computer.
