As usual for SD w/ the 7xx recorders, they are continuing to update and fix bugs, and just overall implement things that users would find "better" to make these by far the best and most feature-driven all-in-ones on the market at this time ;D

I'd love to hear from anyone who has recorded a few times(or at least done tests at home for many hours) and was wondering if its "safe" to use yet? ;D I'm sure it is. I havent had a problem w/ a newly installed firmware w/ my 722 since like 1.79. 2.40 has been ROCK SOLID for me since it came out in 12/2007, but I do like a few newer features on this 2.48 Firmware revision so I'd like to install it soon. Looks like I'll be the guinea pig? Might wait until the enxt coupleshows are done and I'm not potentially the only taper just in case something is buggy with it, I will have recordings to fall back on come beginning of July w/ other tapers around :)

P.S.-I didnt get the SD email, and I havents een this firmware revision mentioned ANYWHERE here on ts.com yet. Whats up w/ that? I just happened to be searching the SD webpage :P ;D So if I did in fact not search good enough, and this has been previously mentioned, I'm sorry for the double post mods :-\

Bean, I did not get an e-mail either but stumbled onto it when sending them a note about a problem I have. I got that one, 2.48. and installed it and the new one for the 788T, too. I may try them both tomorrow. I am sure the 2.48 release is OK.

I ran the beta version of this firmware @ bonnaroo and had no issues. I also ran it a few times before then and used the low cut filter, no issues

I updated last night to 2.48. I do not expect any problems in the foreseeable future. I do not expect to ever use Record/Pause either, but cool they implemented it.

agreed. Juts one more feature that is thought out and well implemented :)
