Title: Need a suggestion (new pair of mics) old ones dead
Post by: desertoasistx on June 30, 2008, 12:35:31 AM
Hi all,

I was using a pair of audiotechnica omni mics well they are starting to go bad so I'm looking for a new pair. The big issue I noticed with these is they never picked up a lot of bass. So any suggestions would be great....I might be able to drop around 70 to 100 on a pair

I have just received my pair of Church Audio cards and I am very pleased with them.

Go with the Church Audio mics and get the omni caps:

Little bit more than you want to spend, but I think he is running a no shipping cost special right now.  Also, Chris is really good on after sale service.

So is there a physical issue with the mics? Or is it more of a case of them getting hit to hard with bass at a rock show?

No exactly the opposite a lack of bass/the midrange is basically gone at every tape I've done. The Mics physically I think are messed up now too but when they worked this was the issue.
