I just received my pair of these in the mail but there are markings on the caps. How does one tell the card from the subcard. I will obviously know the omnis as they are coming in the mail via a separate transaction.
TIA for your help.

I had the same questions.
Looking at the backside of the cap where it screws onto the body... written by hand with a fine marker:
- my cards had "JP" (for John Peluso I presume) and MM/YY
- My subcards had "CK-21"
- I believe the omnis have a circle etched in the side.
Hope that helps.

Mine just had CK21 in red fine marker in the same location.

You can tell the difference from just looking at the top of the cap: the cards have lines across the top face, the subs have no lines. The hyper caps are bigger than the cards, but also with lines across the top. I don't have omni caps.
On a cool note: I bought the CEMC6 set from SoundPure two years ago and the shockmounts have taken a shitload of abuse and need to be replaced. Called SoundPure to buy replacements, they contacted John Peluso and he's sending free replacements. Sweet!

Last time I read a thread saying that the subs have lines across them now. Maybe someone else can confirm. I bought a set at the beginning of the year and they had no lines across the top of the cap. Just a mesh cover. Then someone else bought some and they had the lines across the top. So maybe they are being changed with the newer orders?
That is awesome customer service from Peluso. Can you say that about any other mic manufacturer? I went through all kinds of hoops to finally get some subs from MBHO. Never had a problem with Peluso.

The subcards I had (new a month or two ago) had the same lines/grill as my cards. The mesh behind the grill was a bit finer, but I think the best bet is to go by the markings.

Referring to the bottom pic....the one on the left is your sub and the right is the regular card. That plain mesh look that the left cap has is what we were referring to in our description of the wide cardioid cap. You're gonna love those mics!
