Title: Gefell Question
Post by: nickgregory on December 10, 2003, 09:31:27 PM
OK, dumb question...on the MG SMS2000 rolloff and 10 db pad switches...is up off, or down off?  And for those that have these, do you guys ever use the rolloff of pad?  I never used them with my 391s, but as always am curious!

Thanks!

Nick

Don't have mine in front of me right now, but the switches should be in the opposite direction from the -10db and slope markings.

I have never used these and don't plan to either.  You should never have to use the -10db with a decent preamp unless you are recording a jet engine.  I have never used the bass rolloff, even in the Ritz, but I may the next time Mule comes to the Millennium Center.

OK, cool...thanks for the info...and that is what I thought in terms of running the rolloff..just wanted a second opinion!
