Title: h120/h140 broken joystick
Post by: restevezes on July 15, 2008, 02:38:38 PM
my h140's joystick is broken  :'(

according to multiple post on misticriver (http://www.misticriver.net/forums/iriver-h1xx-series/26953-h140-joystick-worn-out.html (http://www.misticriver.net/forums/iriver-h1xx-series/26953-h140-joystick-worn-out.html)) looks like i have to solder but I have absolutely no idea on how to do this myself, I am not that DIY to solder yet.

Is there anyone that could do the work for me? (of course I will cover shipping plus labor fee)

Thanks!

Well I'm in Belgium so that might not be too expensive with regard to shipping.

However, it would be better if you can open it up and check that it really is caused by broken solder joints.

Also, ask around in your neighborhood/family/friends, I'm sure there is somebody who can solder it for you.
Another thought: if you know a tech school nearby, go ask there if one of the higher grade students won't do it. Buy them a few beers (after soldering!)
