I've been emailing back and forth with Robert about making me an ORTF bar for MBHO's.
To make a single unit, it's too cost prohibitive, but if I bought a batch of them, the price would come down.
If you are an MBHOwner and are interested in an ORFT bar, please make it known in this thread so that I can see if it would make sense to commission him to make a batch.

This kind of thing comes up every now and again. ORTF with hypers isn't ORTF. It's 17cm spacing, with 110º included angle, using hypers. The ORTF standard is specifically 17cm, 110º, with cardioid mics. Doesn't sound like a huge distinction, but I think it's helpful to maintain standards as they exist, rather than modify / make them up and further confuse new recordists, those listening and viewing the source info, etc.

Bean, are you sure you want to run HYPERS upfront? Plus hypers at 110 degrees may suffer from the hole in the middle effect. I accidently ran ORTF with my hyper caps for a show thinking it was my cards & the tapes did not sound good at all.
