hey kids..i have 3 broadcast u-matic tapes that i need to get to DV.....can any one help?
chris
No replies yet, so I'll pitch in.... All TV stations will have that format as will all schools with multimedia classes (even some high schools).... You will also have some transfer houses in your area (Detroit, right?)... Yellow pages for video, but that will be at a premium price, that's their business model. If you need it saved back toa different tape format or DV even, a school or TV station could do it more easily. If you want it on DVD, that's an extra step that you may be able to do for yourself later....
Good luck, is it music related?
Joe
found a place in ann arbor that'll do it for about $40 per tape to DVCAM tape....and will also get the audio to WAV @ 24/48 for me....
very much music related.....4 cam shoot april 1989 @ metro, chicago.....fIREHOSE, screaming trees, Dos
That sounds nice.... but an expensive transfer.... I'd call around to area schools too, ask who has a broadcast/multimedia class.
Good luck, keep us appraised of progress!
