Title: Edirol R09's controls not responding correctly
Post by: MJ5150 on July 22, 2008, 03:31:54 PM
Hey everyone...so all of a sudden this morning, my edirol won't respond properly to any of the controls I push. I have to hold down the play button in order for it to play. If I don't, it goes into the "stop" mode. Sometimes it will go into recording on it's own and I can't stop it so I have to remove the batteries. I can't use the ff/rw buttons either.

Any ideas what could be wrong or how I might go about fixing it?

Sorry to hear that. Well, that's sure a bizarre behaviour. I've never heard anything like that before. Sounds like a PC freezing...Did you try the ( I think that's the name) Factory ( or original) Setting features using the menu?

I tried but the controls won't let me get there. But I updated it to 1.31 and so far it seems to be working fine for some reason  ???

Almost :( I spoke a little too soon. It's not as bad as it was, but yeah it still starts doing its own thing now and then, mainly when I try to record. That's when it starts going into record mode/pause/record by itself.

At this time I think you should contact Roland.
