Title: DIY 15V bbox project, electrical drawings (Polish)
Post by: sunjan on July 28, 2008, 07:50:04 AM
The original post is in Polish, but it looks very interesting.
AFAIK, it's some kind of bbox powered by 9V battery, but feeding up to 15V output, due to the DC-DC converter. Plenty of info and figures...

I don't know if this construction has any particular merits compared to the bboxes we know (hyperplane, 3-wire etc).
I know there's a lot of tech wizards here on TS that like to look at these electrical drawings, maybe you can give your verdict and tell what this is all about?

these converters use switching to get the higher voltage
which depending on your DC filtering and noise rejection on audio opamps
can result in a noisy supply
better to use ±9v with two batteries
