A search for GT-R1 didn't result in any results on the board, so:

T+ for posting the news.

After reading the specs, I can't see any enhancements that are useful for us tapers compared to DR1.
But let's hope that the launch will push down the price of the DR1 a bit instead :-)

"The only differences I can see are that the case has been painted red, and some of the labels have been changed. For example, the quarter inch input on the bottom now says "Guitar In" instead of "Mic 2 In." I assume that means it's a line level input instead of mic-level. But the recorder also still has built in stereo mics and a mic input which means you can use it to record interviews, podcasts, concerts, or anything else.

Both the GT-R1 and DR-1 can record or playback WAV and MP3 files with resolutions up to 24-bit/48kHz. The GT-R1 should be available later this month for about 200€ or about $311 US."
