I've temp lost the battery charger. Does anyone have any recomendations on alternate ways to charge the battery or does anyone have a spare charger I can buy?
-
You can charge it via USB for now, try ebay for a spare charger.

USB charging works but is very slow. There are indeed plenty of replacement adapters on ebay, I'd go for one there...

you in a hurry? Bring your iRiver with you to work (the day of a show), and let it charge up via usb. By the time you are ready to leave work, you've got a fully charged battery
FWIW - my H320 I bought (used) came with no a/c adapter. I charge up my battery via usb and have no intentions on getting a charger unit.

I don't want to spoil your best bet, but I've had a similar situation.
When the battery of the 340 is fully drained, USB charging will not start. You need a charger to get a bit of juice and from that moment on you can charge it from USB. So, if your 340 still has some power you have no problems whatsoever. If it doesn't you'll need to get a replacement. I bought a universal powersupply, checked the voltage and above all, the polarity, and all was good.

Here is a link to cheap parts for you to build an AA battery sled. Give it and a few of the later posts a read and see if you think you can do this.

Note that there are also USB>power plug cables, in case plain vanilla USB charging doesn't do it for you:
