Post by: setboy on August 11, 2008, 05:11:20 PM
What would the best way to record a phone conversation?

I might be doing a interview with a band over the phone. Has anyone used of of these http://jkaudio.com/quicktap.htm

This was actually discussed last week as well as before.

I have thought about that quick tap. If I buy it, you can use it if you want before you buy it. If you buy it, can ya give me a review on how you like it?

If your phone has a headphone jack, you could just run line-out into a recorder...  and then run headphones out of your recorder...  I think that should work...  and you probably already have the gear that's needed.

JK makes a unit called THAT-1 that does what you are looking for from a land line.  If you want to borrow one, hit me up.

TotalRecorder (Canada) makes software for this purpose.  It carries each conversation on its own track, duplex.  It is only duplex.

It is not expensive and a good tool.  It does other stuff, too, like record from the internet.

Canadian quality throughout and free updates.

Cheers
