Title: Upgrading to Audiophile 2496...
Post by: mc1620 on September 03, 2008, 12:06:49 PM
is this a smart move? Should I consider the Delta 1010LT or stick with the 2496? I'm sure either are better than the stock card that came with my box. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

I am not familiar with the Delta 1010LT but I love my 24/96.  what do you want to gain from the card?  transfers or just playback??  the 24/96 is great for both.

Yes, both. I have an aging DAT collection I need to archive. I already ordered the 24/96 it will be here tomorrow (err well today)....anyway, how are you running your playback set up? I have a nice set of the Klipsch 5.1 computer speakers, but from the looks of the card I'm not sure how these are going to connect...

for playback from my computer I have a set of edirol ma15d's.  coax out from the card to the speakers.  I use to just run a coax from the card to my old receiver > speakers.

Yeah, Im looking forward to UPS getting here today...still trying to figure out how Im going to run this to my computer speakers...anyone have any suggestions? I have the Klipsch Pro Media 5.1's...since they use the mini connects > computer...I guess I'll have to run analog rca cables out to an old receiver and just connect the speaker wires to my receiver, unfortunately my old receiver has no digital in and it looks like Im going to lose the use of my subwoofer
