Title: Edirol R-09HR Line In Battery Life?
Post by: dave570 on September 16, 2008, 08:35:26 AM
If I put two new fresh Duracell (regular or Ultras) in an Edirol R-09HR and do "Line In" recording from another source (DAT or memory card) and assuming I put it on "power save", approximately how long will these 2 batteries last?  I'm trying to see what will occur with some long shows that I have in Oct-Nov. These shows range from 4 - 7 hours. Thanks!!

Thanks!   I mostly use Ultras.  Even in my D8, they lasted longer.  If I ever make it to Penn State for the Obama-Dead-Allmans gig in Oct, I'll bring 4 Ultras with me.

With PowerEx 2700 mah batteries, 7 hours with 2 different home tests

Never tried more, but 5 hours in the field on 2 separate occasions

The 2700 mAh batteries can last 7.5 hours. Worst batteries I have (2000 mAh) last over 4 hours. That's what my home test showed. First field recording will be this Sunday, I'm nervous already :)

How did the recording go? Did you use the HR and only the HR or do you have external mics?
