I use Bourns conductive plastic pot.

do they make a panel mount version of that?

also, where did you get your case you used for the TS2?

i need a case thats roughly 4.5 x 1 x 9.5-10"

It's got a threaded shaft with nuts and washer, so you can panel mount it. 

It does not have eyelet solder tabs, but instead have legs.

is this the right series, whats the part numbe ri want for a 5K linear,  0.5 or 1W

so the one youre using is a 90 series (5/8" square)?
