Title: How do you open a .dll file ?
Post by: Tye on October 05, 2008, 09:13:56 PM
I am trying to get either foobar or winamp to play .shn's but both shnamp and the foobar plugin only give me a
.dll file and I have no idea how to open/install the plugin. ???

You don't actually open a .dll file but rather place in a directory where the program that needs it can use it.  For winamp on my computer it is C:/Program Files/Windows/Plugins.  Extract to or place the .dll in you appropriate directory and you should be set.

you don't open the dll file.  for foobar simply copy/drag etc the dll file to the components folder in foobar.  my in foobar I mean the folder on your c drive under programs.  there is a folder in it called components.
