Title: just a little too slow - Help! - wav file
Post by: bobby24 on October 16, 2008, 07:43:17 PM
Hi all,

I've already read the post about resampling and i can't seem to figure it out.

I'm working with Sound Forge.  I'm xfering some old master cassettes to my computer, but when i'm listening to them, it is a touch too slow.  THe current file is 48hz and 16 bit if that helps.

THanks!!!!

So, i played the cassette off the deck, and it seems slow here at the source.  Any ideas?  Is this a bad deck? or is there anyway to slightly speed it up once i xfer the file into the PC>soundforge or audacity?

Thanks in advance

If it is slow at the source it is most likely that deck.  Where did you record the tape?  On a different deck?

Thanks for responding.  The cassette was recorded on a different deck, way back in 1997.  I have about 20 or so cassette masters and a couple of them are good.  Just some are slightly slow.
