Title: My first bad transfer...
Post by: Tim on December 21, 2003, 05:15:27 PM
So I transferred a tape the other night...

2 tapes actually, DAP1->VX Pocket V2->Gateway Pentium 4/2.6hgz, with 512mb ram. First set sounds great. Second set is full of thousands of little clicks, almost every second... maybe every 1.5 second. I wasn't using the computer for anything else at the time and I've transferred dozens of tapes without any problems.

any ideas?

if it's happening regularly, could be some kind of EMI coming through a bad cable or connection.  Jiggle stuff around, reboot, and go for the gold...

Reboot and give it a go.
