New samples (tracks) of CAFS-Omni & CA-Ugly
Awesome stealth rig.
If your not sure about the mics or pre amp, take a listen. (I'm not a pro)

The correct date is 10-24-08

Side balcony, level with hanging speaker, 30 feet from stack. 900 capacity theater
CAFS-Omni(taped to glasses)>CA-Ugly(about 10db gain)>r-09(24-48)>soundforge 9(ditherred to16-44.1 & flac level 5)
No level change or anything else.

Wow those are really some incredible samples for such teeny tiny mics.  Thanks for posting them.

Your statement reads like you may be unjustifiably prejudiced against 'teeny'.
Acoustically, teeny is an advantage. The only inherent problem with teeny is self-noise.

Ha...thinking about it makes me think that I guess you're right.  I suppose I am relatively prejudiced against such small mics and didn't realize that it offers an acoustic advantage.  I was really surprised at the fullness of some of the samples and I guess I wouldn't have expected it.  That said, I don't necessarily think that "bigger is better".
