Title: LOC? ROC?
Post by: taperwheeler on October 27, 2008, 09:19:07 AM
May be a stupid question but trying to figure out as I attended a show where I was taping from the far side of the venue.  So question is:

Is it from the tapers perspective or from the perspective from the stage that left or right is determined?

I've always noted LOC or ROC based off of my perspective.  Not the stage perspective.....

You were definitely LOC, Wheeler.  I think the agreed reference is from the audience perspective, not the stage.

Just keep in mind that when performers or stagehands use the terminology, it is from their perspective onstage facing out. (exact opposite)

House Left = Stage Right

House Right = Stage Left
