Such great reviews!

I will be getting my 09HR very, very soon (possibly this weekend) from amazon and an 8gig SD card is already on the way!

Nicely done!

As an r09 user, I do wonder how it compares to the HR as an a/d run at 'unity' with a good pre in front.  It'd also be interesting to know if the HR has any tendency to distort at certain gain settings (like the r09 does to heavy bass at trim settings below 8).

I found that the high gain setting on the R-44 to be VERY noisy and I always run at the lowest setting now. But, I am also running pres on both sets of channels which makes it much easier to do that.
