Title: Great $9 tripod for Sony PCM-D50
Post by: fmaderjr on November 22, 2008, 11:30:14 AM
This is a great tripod! Probably better than the exorbitantly priced Sony one. With an adapter it will even support my Rode NT-4. Only costs $9 + shipping with taperssection discount. I don't have the Sony PCM-D50, but am pretty sure it will fit. Someone let me know if I'm wrong.

For pocket-size recorders, I prefer a flexible tabletop tripod.  The flexible legs let you wrap the tripod around a branch, a sign post, or the back of a chair, as well as stand on a flat surface.

Here's an example.  It's a knock-off of the Joby Gorillapod. Amazon sells it for $8.95.  I have found similar units on eBay for less than $4.

I have a table top tripod I use and like but I can't use it with my 09HR since I don't have a case for it. I know the Edirol folks make it but its too much and the reviews are pretty bad on it. Has anyone found something better?
