Any comments on the current availability of the SX-M2/LS2, VMS02IB, and nbox?
The lemosax seems to pop up from time to time, the VMS02IB (and nbox) much less so. Btw, anyone remember (roughly) when these were last available through retail?
there is a vms in the yard sale right now...
beat me to it Dan, thanks

just pm nick at 'schoepsnbox' and he'll cook you up an nbox pronto.
Getting off the subject of the post, but what's the opinion on the gain of the VMS02IB... from long distances? (ie. the OTS in an arena/amph)?
Been listening to FOB VMS/nbox tapes for years, but haven't heard too many recordings that I can think of from sections or the backs of rooms. Was running Schoeps> AD-1000 at ph shows and considered the VMS02IB many times, yet I seem to recall having a conversation with someone that the VMS "struggled" (or hit its limits) the further away from the source.
How far back are you talking? I can dig up a track or two from my recordings
Back of the floor at MSG.
Sorry, only been there once and I was running Gefells at the time
I have this:
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds
Radio City Music Hall
New York, NY
Saturday 22 March 22 2003
Source: MK4 > KCy I > VMS 02 IB > SBM1 > D100
Location: 3rd Mezzaine Row BB Seat 701/3 on the railing
Conversion: Sony PCM-R300 > Zoltrix Pro > SoundForge
That one is probably interesting, being from the the third mezzanine and an acoustic show.
What about behind the soundboard at Alpine Valley?
I have a Schoeps 2000 price list and the VMS 02 ib is in it.
H20 - can you send me a copy of the 2000 price list? What was the VMS02ib listed for?
Phoam - never been to alpine... did you want me to snag a track from the Radio City show? Also was my 1st Schopes show when owing the VMS, but not the 1st time I had used the same setup (had borrowed in the past prior to this show)
