Title: simple normalization program?
Post by: jagraham on December 26, 2008, 06:54:16 PM
turns out audition 1.5 is not compatible with vista... i tried looking up other versions of audition and some of them are upwards of 500MB and i just dont need an advanced program.  i need a program to normalize my master WAVs and thats about it.  any suggestions on a simple program that can normalize the wavs without issue.  thanks in advance.

Hi, you can do this in the tried and true Audacity.  It works in Vista - I did not test this but the website says so - and it does do normalizing.  It is under "amplify."  The price is right:  0.

It also has a ton of plugins, has a vast user base and you can get help for it way easier than for Adobe, I'd bet.   Try it.
