Hi All.
I have an LSD2, purchased used over the summer and used several times since then without incident. BusMan mod was done to it by the previous owner.
I ran the mic over the weekend and had some strange behavior with the levels of the top capsule. At certain positions of the rotations the levels were either very low or non-existant. When listening to the mic while turning the cap there is some crackle as it rotates.
Is this a common failure with these mics? Something I could possible repair?
I've sent an email to busman, waiting to hear back from him but thought I would ask in the meantime.
Thanks!

I've not heard of that problem before. I had a problem with one of my capsules and SP eventually replaced the capsules, but I don't believe it mattered if I rotated the upper part of the body.
My guess (and it's just a guess) is that a ground wire has come loose, and so now it's grounding down through the body instead, which is an intermittent ground when you rotate it. Definitely a job for Busman.
