Doug just sent me what he considers and updated/graded version of the classic m248 preamp.
It looks the same as any ol' 248 (I also have a stock one myself), but has different OP AMPs. He claims it to be a substantial impact on soundstage dimension w/a little added warmth.
Sounds good to me. I'll be running it all throughout dead tour this spring.

Mics, I've still got my MK4/8 setup, a pair of SP C4's, and i'm horny for some AKG 414s....which might find their way into my closet by spring.
