I need a firewire PCI card (another, ive already got one in there, but 2 ports isnt enough for me). Any suggestions for cards with a TON of firewire ins? I'll take as many ins as i can get. USB 2.0 on the card is a plus too.

you could just get a firewire hub

my only slight worry about a firewire hub is the capacity to carry that many channels of audio at once, im going to be having a number of fw audio devices on it at once

If you have open PCI slots use two cards, you wil be able to transfer all that info more smoothly.

but you can dasiy chain multiple firewire audio devices to each other, it's the same thing. you should be fine

this is true. Ive only chained firewire devices once(ran 2x MOTU828--16 channells) and didnt have any problems

ok cool- im running out of pci slots fast. 2 network cards (need one wired and one wireless), maudio audiophile, 1 firewire card... you see where im going... im half thinking about a rackmount firewire patchbay
