Title: odd noise ca14's>capre>r-9 ?

I got the recording attached from another taper, it sounds OK for the most part, but this is the sound I'm asking about, never heard anything quite like it, was wondering if anyone could ID it....

Please send the mics back for service. I know what the problem is.

I had a few with this problem tell the person that owns the mics to send it back for service.
