Not sure if this belongs here or in retail.
Saw this bar in person at the AES Convention in San Francisco. This has an amazing precision feel. Just released. EXPENSIVE!

sexy..remember EXPENSIVE is relative...some tapers cart out $8k worth of gear to shows. Then again, some of same said tapers bitch about the price of the CF card and such trivial expenses in the grand scheme of the setups they're buying.
I for one may plunk down the cash for one of these. maybe I could sell my Neumann ORTF bar and Schoeps M/S mount that are collecting dust.

Very nice. Have to get me one of those.
I might be interested in going in on the 2 bar package if someone only wanted the long one. For $200? Ya.

This is going to give my UMS20 a run for the money....
Another item added to the shopping list...
Very elegant, very refined. I would love to acquire one. Eventually...
edit: This mount is it for me. They nailed it with this one. Very well done, Grace Design :tips hat:

Hell yea... The bottom one is alot like my markbar that I use for 4 chan but has added measurements. With the markbar I had to add a additional piece for the center swivel but the whole thing probably ran $75 or so without the measurement marks. I also don't think this GD unit is heafty enough to take out the offensive wookie with the same efficiency. :P

very cool
:)

I saw it last week before they got it on the website.
Looks absolutely superb and I really want to get one of each.

I think they missed the mark by not having the ability for a third mount in the middle. I mean you could shift everything off to one side and put two mounts on one side but then the spacing marks are all off. Why pay $300+ for a mount that does not do what you want...
Don't get me wrong, this thing is down right sexy. Just sayin is all...

That's a sweet bar.
Thanks for the link.

Mark,
Yeah I would be interested in having your long one if the sliding holders are also included...Do you know if you buy 2 bars (one long and one short) would they include 4 sliding holders or just 2? PM me if you or anyone else is interested in splitting the cost with me.

I clicked on the link of authorized dealers (something, something) and it took me to a page of, you guessed it, dealers and retailers for Grace products. On Sweetwave Audio's site they show the bar but the price is not $295, rather it says call for price. Not open on Saturday but wanted to find out, just for curiosity's sake, how much it is and if they also run a deal on the combo.
Says it includes 2 standard mics, 1 taller holder for mic: EACH bar with it's own. I'm assuming the taller one is one like we would use a riser for. Very nice bar!
