What cable/connections do I need to hook a V3 up to a standard DVD battery?
PM Deadheaded. He can either give you what you are looking for or make you a cable.

you probably could, but with all the money you've spent on gear what's another $25 for piece of mind?
You don't want your power cable to be the weak point. With Ed's cable, you will never have to worry about it again. How much is peace of mind worth?
you don't want to use the radio shack adapt-a-plugs. it won't fit right.
I'm not saying Ed's cables are a waste of money - they're very well made and are worth the money.
But if you are comfortable with a soldering iron, it's very easy to order the parts yourself and make your own cable. that's what I did and its been working great for years and years...
