Title: Audacity Pitch Control
Post by: Belexes on February 16, 2009, 10:55:20 PM
I am transferring a cassette that runs slightly fast and need to slow it down with Audacity as my Nak DR-1 does not have pitch adjustment on the deck.

In Audacity there is:

- Change Pitch without changing Tempo
- Change Speed, which changes Tempo and Pitch
- Change Tempo without changing Pitch

I want to change the pitch without changing the tempo, correct?

My guess would be "Change Speed, which changes Tempo and Pitch" - the both have to change...the music is playing too high and too fast...

That would be my guess, too

Try the all and see which one works.   First make a copy of the cassette on your HD.  Then try each technique.    8)
