was just listening to a disco biscuits recording from 3-23-08 from archive.org......recorded with akg 391's (same thing as c391b?)...... never heard of other people using this mic for recording live shows but it sounds freaking awesome!!  anyone else use these mic's??

Lots of people use them; they are very nice microphones.  The c391b is often abbreviated as 391.  Inexpensive microphones, interchangeable capsules, and very versatile.

I liked them. Best part is how the capsule connects to the body. Decent mics for the money.

pulled some great tapes with these. 393's(hypers) are very nice for the money.

Yep.

It's the SE 300 body with a ck91 cap.
