Title: Mic drop outs
Post by: Mike D (VT) on March 02, 2009, 08:25:42 AM
I was using my ck63's for the first time last weekend. First set went fine. Second set had random signal loss from left and right channel (but never at the same time) for a second or two. It happened maybe half a dozen times. I was not directly in front of my stand, so I am thinking it got bumped (I have shock mounts) a few times. Although I have run ck61's and had my stand get bumped, w/o channel loss. Could it be a problem w/ the cables? Mics?
Input and comments encouraged. Thanks.

Do some "scientific" testing at home to narrow down what specific piece of the chain is causing an issue. It could be any part, a cap, a mic body, a cable, the pre or your deck. Hope that it's one of your cables.
