Title: SD 722 rental fees

how much would you charge someone to rent your SD722 for 23 days?  He has paid me $125 for one day in the past but has a video shoot out of the country that he wants to take my recorder on.  Thanks!

I'm not sure about rental, but I would want some guarantee of replacement cost if something happens to it.

I would call an A/V company and see how much they charge.  Rental prices for gear can be as much as 10% of the new price of the gear per week, depending on the gear in question.  Find out how much they charge, and base your price on that.  Remember, he could be having to fork over that price to the rental company, so don't be afraid to charge what you think is fair.

Insure that 722 if you plan to rent it.

We rent ours here for $150/day for the 722, and $200/day for our 744T.
We normally do a 3 day rental week (ie. you get it for 7 days, we bill you for 3 days).
