Title: recording aircraft: from props to jets
Post by: kyriu on March 14, 2009, 09:56:24 AM
Well, that sums it. Any advice, ideas?

Possible situations:

 - traffic on airports;
 - aircraft racing
 - airshows
 - startups, lifts and landings (especially those beautifull P&W and Wrights)
 - speed runs
 - on the ground and inside (props mostly)

Best regards,

rreis

In addition to all the great advice posted, suggest considering mic gear used to record samples of similar subjects posted at: www.sonicstudios.com/mp3.htm (http://www.sonicstudios.com/mp3.htm)

This same gear used to record wide range of munitions and industrial vehicle sounds in many major films as posted on this page: www.sonicstudios.com/cinema.htm (http://www.sonicstudios.com/cinema.htm)

These pages have links to the gear used in the recordings posted and films credited.
