SSIA. recorded on and r-1, fades/etc using wavelab 5, and split with cdwave.
tried the version of flac i had previously (error), and the latest build (error).
any help appreciated! sorry if its a bit vague, but im not sure where the problem would me....i always thought it was a cut and dry process.
oh yeah....this is my 1st attempt at 24 bit flac.

what are you uning to encode? Frontend ?
make sure to uncheck the box that fixes sector boundaries.
-
What's the error?
Are you positive you saved the file as 24-bit when saving in Wavelab? Some audio editors will produce a 32bfp after editing (e.g. fades), unless the user specifically dithers or truncates to 24-bit.

if you didn't check "use alternate 24-bit format" when saving from CDWave, you will have 24/44.1 files with a 16/44.1 header, which makes FLAC go all nuts

this is what i came to write as well, i would think this is the culprit first.

Ive NEVER checked that alternbate box and ALL of my 24bit flacs are fine ;)
I'm going to say its the sector boundaries or no HDD space left ;)

I never check that box, and I've never had a problem. Uncheck the "Align on sector boundaries" box in FLAC Frontend, and it works fine.

I never doubted that was the culprit for a second!

Most importantly glad it was an easy fix.
