I'd get myself a set of Soundman in-ear mics, I have several friends that run these and they make great recordings.

Never heard an in-ear recording that I enjoyed. These tend to be low-end budget mics. YMMV.

probably an ok option. but what if you want to wear ear plugs?

I have a set of SP-TFB-2 mics, and I've made some great recordings with them, BUT, I have to give a 3 dB boost to the left channel in post-processing. They consider 3 dB to be "well-matched" enough[1] - IMO, that's a bit lame, but it's not that huge a deal since I record in 24-bit mode. They can be a bit bass-heavy, so the bass rolloff that's baked into the LS-10's mic preamp isn't a bad thing with these mics.
Of course, when you're recording classical in a quiet venue, you have to keep real still and quiet - they'll even pick up the click your eardrum makes when you swallow or equalize air pressure...
[1] By comparison, I recently picked up a set of AKG Perception 170 mics, NOT sold as a matched pair, and I'd guesstimate that they're < 1dB apart.

This was the main reason I returned my pair to Sound Professionals. Every time I would swallow, there would be a loud CLICK on the recording. Took my a while to realize where the click was coming from, but it was definitely from pressure in the ears.
