loaded waelab on my wife's vista laptop for the hell of it. patch works to an extent. it will let me render when you can "render in place" but for dithering where you have to create a specific file it won't work. tried uv22hr and izotope. when I get the render set up and hit ok it does nothing. it will render as mp3 and other formats just not wave. ???
the batch process works but it makes me wonder if it is truly using the plugin I tell it to or just the "stock dither" if that makes any sense.
so has anyone figured out a way to render as wave? anyone more knowledgeable with the batch process tell me if, since it works is it using the plugin I tell it to use (izotope or uv22hr) or "stock"?
for what it's worth most other basic editing features I've tried work just fine with the patch.

that sounds strange. I usually use the stock dither, but have played around with uv22hr and it rendered correctly. I use Isotope often....
Why not try to reinstall both Wavlab and patch, before going too much further... You have restarted the computer after install and before failed test?

yep. restarted etc. I'll give unistall a shot. also everything is running in xp compatibility. a google search shows a post about this on the wavelab forum but no replies after that.
