Title: anyone use CD Indexer Professional?
Post by: sleepypedro on March 22, 2009, 03:14:18 PM
it recently became freeware:  http://gdsoftware.dyndns.org/ogds/index.htm

for years i've been manually maintaining a table of contents of all my DVDs with excel.  i'm still not 100% sure the CD Indexer program is going to work for me, but it's certainly more efficient than manually entering data.

simple slide in a disc, add it to the database, and it takes a snapshot of the filesystem.  drill down to individual files, voila.  you can find content with a simple keyword search, SQL lookup, export result sets to .csv, etc.

anyway, have a look if you're curious.  i'd love to trade usage tips.
