I don't think you'll be able to find this.

i don;t think i would trust myself even with the plans to do it myself...

i would rather no risk wrecking the UA-5 and pay oade to do it

Try and Advance Search and you should be able to find:

[1] a link to a guy who photo'd the insides of a UA5 in excruciating detail
[2] a post from Todd about which op amps may be used as replacements to achieve a more Grace-like or Apogee-like sound, per a casual posting by Doug Oade

Don't know of any actual schematics, though.

Not sure exactly where they are, but give it a go.  If you don't find 'em, lemme know and I'll see if I can dig 'em up.

The most crucial info we need is exactly which op amps and caps are changed.  It appears that there are many in the circuit but it also appears that there are just a couple large caps.  Anyone that knows this stuff could guess better than me I'm sure!!   As for the op amps I think there are only 3 if memory is correct....just change em all.

It's not changing the parts that's tough....it's knowing exactly WHICH ones to change that is crucial! :P

have u tried asking doug?  if i remember right he was pretty cool about giving out this type of info. in the past?  maybe i'm wrong but i swear i remember reading a post in the past @ oades where he has given out similar info. when people asked...it's worth a shot.

I'm aiming for presence for my UA-5 and Oktavas, but I'd be happy to kick some idesa and resources around. See this thread as well:
