Title: Shure VP88 question? Owners past & present please step in.
Post by: Kindguy on March 26, 2009, 11:56:04 PM
When running, My guess is the knobs on the mic face backwards (away from the stage)? Is that right?

Also guess I'll start with the stereo knob on medium?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I've had this mic in the closet for at least a year & never ran it. Going to use it on ch 3 & 4 & see what happens.

Thanks
Jeff

go go gadget trainwreck

if using the internal m/s matrix, i prefer the low setting... although there are occasions that the medium might be suited better depending on the room and your location.

knobs are facing up, there is a R & L printed on the mic which should help you out a bit  :P

So you run it Horizontal  :-[

I always thought it ran Vertical like the LSD2. Makes total sense now.

Thanks

yeppers... horizontal it is... at least that is how i always understood it since the mount that is made for the mic, a88sm, orientates the mic that way.

the front grill is the card and its directional, the side grills are the figure 8.
