Hey Guys,
The last two shows I've taped I've experienced bass drop out at the begining of my tapes basically as soon as the bands got kicking. There is also a slight break in the tape right before the drop out. I'm running Earthwork 71s > UA-5 > JB3
Anyone have any idea what might be going wrong? is it time to invest in a new UA-5 or could it be the JB3?
Here are two samples

That's weird. When the sound changes, the first thing I think of is mics. If it's drop outs, digi noise, etc, then I think of outboard gear. I suggest you get a buddy to go with and swap mics... his mics > your UA-5, your mics > his gear. I've never heard of any problems like that with Earthworks, but you never know.
